Bristol Choral Society performs Beethoven's Missa Solemnis at Beacon Hall! Missa Solemnis, or Solemn Mass, is the second setting of the Mass by Beethoven. Written and debuted around the same time as his ninth symphony, this lesser known work is said to be regarded by Beethoven as his greatest composition. Consisting of five movements and using a substantial choir, four soloists and full orchestra.
