Barrington Levy was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. One of the great success stories of the '80s, Levy arrived on the dancehall scene and swiftly remodelled it in his own image. Many DJs and vocalists rose and fell during this time, but not Levy, he continued releasing massive hits well into the '90s.
