The Holywell Music Room is close to the heart of many a concert-goer in Oxford. Designed by the Vice-Principal of St Edmund Hall, Thomas Caplin, the venue is thought to be the first custom-built concert hall in Europe. These days, the room is used as a venue for a wide range of musical performances.
